One wharf, one check-in point
Every RealNZ Walter Peak sailing, including this BBQ dinner cruise, departs from Steamer Wharf at 88 Beach Street in central Queenstown, with check-in at the RealNZ Visitor Centre on the wharf itself. There's no separate marina or transfer point to locate — if you can find Steamer Wharf, you can find the ship. The wharf sits right on Queenstown's waterfront, an easy landmark to navigate to even for a first-time visitor working from a phone map. Signage around the wharf area points clearly to the RealNZ Visitor Centre, so even a first pass through central Queenstown is usually enough to find it without much backtracking.
Build in more than the stated 20 minutes
Check-in closes 20 minutes before departure, but Steamer Wharf runs several RealNZ sailings from adjoining berths, especially in peak season, including the newer Spirit of Queenstown vessel alongside the Earnslaw herself, and it's easy to lose a few minutes working out which ship is yours.
